FAQs

  • Q: Why should we have our wedding recorded on video?

A: Your wedding day will be one of the most important days of your life. Having every moment captured and preserved on a professional video is critical, and it can’t be done with photography alone. With a video production from Write Video Productions, you’ll rest assured knowing that all the sights, sounds, feelings, and emotions will be captured in a creative video that lets you relive your wedding day year after year with friends and family. You’ll see your first steps down the aisle in your wedding gown and your first kiss as Man and Wife, hear every word of your vows, every congratulation from your guests, and the toasts and good wishes at your reception. We take great pride in our creative approach to capturing every moment of your big day for you to remember forever, and we look forward to speaking with you about your unique wedding! Call or email us today to set up a no-pressure consultation and we’ll discuss what we can do for you!

  • Q: How is Wright Video Productions different from other videographers?

A: We go the extra mile to ensure the lasting quality of your wedding video, and that starts with investing in the right equipment. While most videographers use compact, prosumer video cameras (even those that advertise HD video), we will capture your wedding day with high-end broadcast quality cameras that feature superior lenses and sensors. What does this mean to you? You can expect far better color reproduction in a sharp, clean, appealing picture – even in low light.

  • Q: Why do we need multiple cameras during the ceremony?

A: We include at least two cameras in each of our wedding packages and recommend a third camera at the ceremony whenever possible. In order to remain unobtrusive and keep steady shots throughout the ceremony, we keep our cameras mounted on tripods. Since we are not roaming throughout the ceremony venue, it’s essential to have two or three key angles. Having more than two cameras makes your edited ceremony video that much more dynamic and exciting. While our primary camera at the front of the venue gets a great closeup of your faces, we can have two cameras at the rear of the venue to capture both a wide-angle of the ceremony as well as additional closeups focused on any speakers, singers, or musicians. Take a look at Sara and Chase’s wedding ceremony for a great example on how important it is to have three camera angles: https://vimeo.com/16971317

  • Q: Why can't I have a friend shoot video at my wedding instead?

A: You aren’t likely to have a friend DJ or photograph your event, and we don’t recommend you ask them to shoot your wedding video either. Your well-meaning family member may want to capture some video with their new compact digital camera. Still, these cameras don’t compare to our broadcast quality HD cameras. They certainly do not share our years of experience in capturing your wedding day in a professional, artistic style. Also, keep in mind that the editing work is equally as important as shooting the video. We have the experience to create a lasting heirloom that you will want to want to share with your family for years to come. And we focus on delivering your video in a timely manner. If you have friends shoot your wedding video, you’ll likely only get shaky, candid video – and there’s no telling how long it will take to get it! Let our experienced camera operators and editors take care of your wedding video and leave your family and friends free to enjoy the celebration. You won’t regret it!

  • Q: Will my videographers be obtrusive?

A: Absolutely not. Our job is to capture the day as it happens, not to direct the action. We will work with you well in advance to plan for all your day's activities so that we are well-prepared for the day of and not bothering you with unimportant questions. During the wedding ceremony, we do not move about the venue to avoid being a distraction. We plan our camera locations in advance to make sure we can capture everything without getting in the way.

  • Q: When do I receive the finished wedding video?

A: Our normal turnaround for the finished highlights video is about two weeks after the wedding. At that time, we will first deliver the video via a web video link. This allows you to do two things: You can watch the video as soon as possible, make any suggestions or request changes to certain elements, or give us approval on the video before making the finished DVD. Also, you can share that video online via Facebook or email while you wait for the DVDs to arrive. After you receive the highlights video online, you can expect your DVDs approximately two weeks after that.
